Regent Spa

Our experience in this spa was definitely a welcomed surprise. :)

Oz and I headed to Kapitolyo to use up another spa coupon I bought online. We had no trouble finding the place as it's located in the same building as Ace Water Spa, which we've gone to a few years back. The Ace building is the tallest one in the area and has a big "ACE" sign on top.

The spa had a well-lit lounge area with a flat screen TV and a drinks station at the corner.

After being served some refreshments, we were lead to our room. The spa had 2 hallways and I was only able to take a picture of the one we didn't pass. The other one (the one we passed to get to our room) was less impressive but was just as clean and nice. Their restrooms also had a relaxing ambiance, although the shower stall was a bit small.

Ladies Restroom

As per their promo, we were given the Deluxe Room. I loved our room! There were a lot of things it had that I've always wished for in other spas.

2 Cozy chairs converted into massage beds

LCD TV

Locker and slippers
Locker key

They also had a Premier and a Suite room--I can just imagine what those must look like. :) I think we could have been good without the television, but just it being there is such a plus. I also loved that we were given a locker key before the massage and that the locker itself was really secure. They also provided slippers plus a lot of disposable items inside the locker.

Aircon, music volume control, and buzzer

Another thing I was so excited about was the air conditioner control, music volume control, and the buzzer. With the countless number of spas I've been to, this is the first time I saw this available inside the room. Each room had its own air conditioning and we could personally control them. The spa also had an ambient tune playing in the background, which we can soften when we turn on the television. Lastly, there was a buzzer to call the therapist once we were done getting ready. I've often experienced therapists waiting right outside the door so they can start the massage immediately, and having a buzzer was a good way of letting us know that we can take their time.

The room itself was safe and very private, as each one had its own wooden door that closes and locks from the inside. No more getting paranoid that someone might see you in the gaps between curtains. One thing that I noticed though, was that our room glass window was from the floor to the ceiling, and the blinds had small gaps in between them. Since we were only on the second floor, I was paranoid the whole time that people outside could see us. (After our massage we checked the window, and turns out it was tinted and you couldn't bee seen from the outside.)

The massage started (the names of our therapists were Razel and Vangie) and I was a bit disappointed that we were not asked about the pressure level that we preferred, and also the massage we wanted. (We always prefer the swedish massage, but ended up getting a combination) However, the whole session was really good. There were hot thermal pouches used throughout the massage, which was so relaxing. No, none of us got burnt this time. :)

As the session ended, the therapist informed me that she will get some hot towels. This is common for massages that use oil, as the hot towel removes/reduces the oil left on the skin. What was unusual though, was that she was the one who rubbed and wiped my skin to rid of the oil. Talk about service. We left the spa having non-oily skin and hair, which despite being such a small thing, was actually really convenient especially if you're still going out afterwards.

Verdict: The Regent Spa is easy to locate and has ample parking space. The facilities are complete and the convenience of the customer has been well thought of. They're also always one step ahead of their customers with regard to their service. The massage is great--just make sure to remind the therapist which service you're availing and the pressure level you prefer. This spa is ideal for families, friends and especially couples as they have cozy couples rooms available and you can upgrade your room to your preference/budget.
